Although, later in the series we see earlier notes and it really seems like Kuromi tried so very hard to be My Melody's best friend despite both suffering and recording hundreds of incidents of My Melody inadvertently doing some pretty horrible stuff to her.

What is a good approach in this scenario in order to make it 4 bars? Some of my thoughts: Stretch it up a bit to fir 4 bars with MIDI stretch marker.
