The latest turn in the MLB trade market saw the Yankees get a third baseman, which could help the Seattle Mariners' push to land Eugenio Suárez.
"The Seattle Mariners are acquiring first baseman Josh Naylor from the Arizona Diamondbacks, sources tell ESPN," Passan tweeted. Naylor was an All-Star last year with the Cleveland Guardians, who traded him to Arizona in the offseason. In exchange for Naylor, Seattle is sending pitching prospects Brandyn Garcia and Ashton Izzi back to Arizona.
CNBC reported Thursday that the NFL is looking at taking a stake of around 10% in the Disney sports network. The media giant currently owns 80% of ESPN, while Hearst owns the remaining 20%. The outlet noted that discussions remain ongoing and that a final deal could result in a smaller stake.
There will be more Seattle Mariners baseball on local TV, as ROOT Sports has added several games featuring M's minor league affiliates.
