According to the Texas Lottery, the lucky winner purchased a $1 million Powerball powerplay ticket at an Exxon on Dry Creek Drive in northwest Austin. The ticket was chosen in a drawing on March 8.

Since being introduced in 1992, the Texas Lottery has handed out more than $13.8 billion in prizes to players who won at least $1,000 each, as of March 31, 2025. A total of 2,076 players have won more than $1 million,

The Texas Lottery has announced that a second Mega Millions lottery ticket within the last few months has been sold in Fort Worth, this time for $5 million.

A Powerball ticket sold in California won the $527 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched five winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Saturday, March 29, the California Lottery said. The lucky ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in Anaheim, which is about a 25-mile drive southeast from Los Angeles, officials said.
