Tottenham have made a shock enquiry into the availability of Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho after Mathys Tel turned down a move to north London. United are willing to listen to realistic offers for Garnacho as they aim to stay in line with the Premier League’s PSR rules.

Tottenham are reported by two outlets to be plotting a surprise late transfer window raid on Manchester United for Alejandro Garnacho – though conflicting reports on their chances of a deal, together with Ruben Amorim’s take on the player have also come to light.

Tottenham had appeared to be the frontrunners for Tel and placed a £50million bid to sign him in the January window. However, Tel rejected a move to north London and has since appeared to make a U-turn on his future. The Athletic report that Tel is now set to stay at Bayern this month.
