Several Knox County warming centers have been opening for days to make sure people have a safe and warm place to sleep.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office attempted to stop a vehicle without plates recently, but the situation escalated after the driver and passenger switched seats, eluded the deputy and then crashed.
