After a chaotic weather week that dropped more than a foot of snow in some areas, KC Restaurant Week is starting on a high note for many of the 248 establishments taking part this year.

After a week of being snowed in, Kansas City restaurants are ready to step out – and eat out. Nearly 250 restaurants are taking part in Kansas City’s Restaurant Week across both sides of the state line.

Many Kansas City restaurants hope Restaurant Week helps them bounce back after winter weather slowed business.

It's actually not that bad and given the struggling local economy . . . We MIGHT even lay off so much criticism about the upscale celebration of small plates and snobbishness.
