The Bloomington area has a 100% chance for snow on Friday, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS is now predicting 3 to 4 inches for the Bloomington area, up from 1 to 2 inches it expected previously.

Roads south of Bloomington are beginning to be covered in snow, as seen on Indiana Department of Transportation snow plow cameras. Just after 9 a.m., a photograph from a snow plow on I-69 near Washington, Indiana, showed snow accumulating on the interstate. Nearly 10 inches of snow fell in the Bloomington area on Sunday and Monday, and forecasters expect the snow to remain for a while. Jason Puma, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, said the snow probably will stick around through the whole week or beyond.

Kacie Fuson, a meteorologist with the NWS in Indianapolis, said the Bloomington area already has gotten about 8.5 inches of snow, according to reports from weather spotters.
