India's industrial output growth hit a six-month high of 5.2% year-on-year in November helped by a strong rise in output of consumer durables and capital goods, government data showed on Friday.

India's industrial output, as measured by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), grew by 5.2% in November 2024, reaching a six-month high, up from 3.5% in October. Manufacturing output rose by 5.8%,

The Champions Trophy will be hosted in a hybrid format with Pakistan as official hosts. The tournament will be played a three venues in Pakistan -- Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi- and in Dubai, where India will play all their matches, including the semifinal and final if they qualify, as an agreement between the ICC, PCB and the BCCI.

Although the ICC set January 12 as the deadline for teams participating in the Champions Trophy to announce their provisional squads, the BCCI is expected to make its announcement a week later.

BCCI is now likely to request an extension. On the other hand, the T20 squad for the upcoming five-match series against England could be announced by January 12th.
