Slippery conditions on flyovers across the Houston area this morning caused a big headache for many drivers. Thursday afternoon, the ice and slush left over from the winter storm had mostly melted away and dried off the roads.

Southeast Texas covered in a blanket of snow and sleet in a winter storm that should subside late in the day Tuesday. The worst of the precipitation might arrive and end on Tuesday, but it may take a few more days before thawing temperatures make some roads safe enough to use.
