Masters chairman Fred Ridley acknowledged that what Augusta National Golf Club fans will see in April won’t have “quite as many trees as we did a year ago” but that any damage suffered last September when Hurricane Helene rolled through Georgia and the Carolinas won’t be an issue when the Masters is held in less than three months.

There may be a few trees missing, but Augusta National Golf Club chairman Fred Ridley said the course is in spectacular edition ahead of the Masters.

Augusta National and the surrounding community in Georgia suffered extensive damage due to Hurricane Helene in late September, but the golf course is expected to be in its typical excellent condition in April for the Masters—just minus a number of trees.

Augusta National has a few less trees but otherwise is in "spectacular condition," with chairman Fred Ridley making the announcement just months after Hurricane Helene caused extensive damage in the Southeast.
