The Last of Us dives deep into grief with its first Season 2 episode post-Joel’s ( Pedro Pascal) death as adoptive daughter Ellie ( Bella Ramsey) and younger brother Tommy ( Gabriel Luna) come to terms with the major loss.

By now, the cat’s out of the bag. “The Last of Us” has killed off Pedro Pascal’s Joel. And the rest of this season will chronicle Ellie (Bella Ramsey), Tommy (Gabriel Luna) and the rest of Jackson as they try to cope with that loss.

Because although episode 3 may not have been quite as gut-churning, there were still plenty of moments to catch us out — from Tommy's (Gabriel Luna's) comment about Sarah (Nico Parker) to the subtle tweak to the show's opening credits.
