The Texas Longhorns are the new NCAA softball champions. Texas jumped all over Texas Tech in a decisive 10-4 victory in Game 3 of the Women's College World Series on Friday night to earn the first title in program history.

The Miami Hurricanes (35-26) edged the Louisville Cardinals (39-22) by a final score of 9-6 in Game 2 of the NCAA Louisville Super Regional on Saturday afternoon.

Coastal Carolina is the first team to qualify for the 2025 College World Series after defeating Auburn, 4-1, on Saturday. The Chanticleers swept the Tigers in their home regional to advance.

The College World Series Super Regionals get started on Friday, June 6 and continue through the weekend and possibly on Moday, June 9.

Texas has won the college softball national title. After finishing as the national runners-up two times in the previous three years, the Longhorns have their first title with a 10-4 win over Texas Tech at the Women's College World Series.

After two runner-up finishes to Oklahoma in 2022 and 2024, the Longhorns finally captured an elusive first title.
