Free-agent infielder Yoán Moncada has agreed to a one-year contract worth $5 million with the Los Angeles Angels, reports the New York Post. The team has not yet confirmed the signing. Moncada, 29, hit free agency by virtue of the White Sox declining his $25 million team option for 2025.

The Los Angeles Angels are signing third baseman Yoán Moncada to a $5 million, one-year contract for the upcoming season.

Moncada and the Angels agreed to a one-year contract worth $5 million on Thursday, The Post’s Jon Heyman reported. The White Sox declined Moncada’s $25 million club option in November. The 29-year-old is coming off an injury-plagued season with the 121-loss White Sox, playing just 12 games in 2024.
