A two-vehicle crash that closed part of Interstate 70 Thursday, paralyzing holiday traffic for hours, occurred when the driver of a 2021 Ram 3000 pickup truck driving west weaved onto the shoulder and struck the rear of a parked semi-truck, the Colorado State Patrol said.

“Nyandwaro was observed intentionally crashing into the victim’s tractor-trailer, ramming him into the left concrete barrier, and laughing about it as he drove away,” police said in the affidavit, citing video taken inside of the truck.
