The North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency has reached a settlement with its former chief executive Priscilla Atkins, ending a years-long legal battle over her unlawful dismissal in 2023.

It wasn't until she was 19 and leaving Darwin for university in Boorloo (Perth) that Barbara Hostalek discovered her grandmother's central role in fighting for Aboriginal rights in the 1950s.
