Newly-signed Los Angeles running back Najee Harris was a top target for the Wolverines when Harbaugh was the head coach at Michigan.

That's the case for Jim Harbaugh and new Chargers running back Najee Harris. As arguably the top running back prospect in the 2017 class, Harris spent most of his recruitment locked in with Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Harris, 27, signed a one-year deal with the Chargers earlier this week and said that Harbaugh was a driving force in his decision. "He's the same guy, man," Harris said. "He's always energetic, man. He's always the life of the party, so he's just a good guy to be around, down to earth, and he makes you feel comfortable."
