MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - The City of Manhattan hosted an open house at City Hall on Wednesday to help community members gain insight into the city’s upcoming Historic Preservation Plan.

City commissioners in, KS are considering a common consumption area downtown, allowing public alcohol consumption from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. along Poyntz Avenue. A vote is expected in a future meeting.

The Manhattan city government is considering changing its policy to publish legal notices on its own website, taking advantage of a loophole in state law.
