The Eagles could use another quarterback on the practice squad, and on Christmas Day, the team hosted former backup signal-caller Ian Book. The Eagles waived Book at the 53-man roster deadline last summer, naming rookie Tanner McKee as the third quarterback.

The Eagles did not practice on Wednesday, but Hurts would not have participated as he remains in the concussion protocol. Pickett (rib injury) would have been limited.
