Buffalo Sabres and Vancouver Canucks could make a blockbuster trade including Dylan Cozens and Elias Pettersson, according to insider reports

In a report published Sunday at The Fourth Period, Seravalli revealed that the Sabres "continue to scour the trade market" trying to retool their roster. "Sabres GM Kevyn Adams has been active making and taking calls on a number of his players, with centre Dylan Cozens at the forefront of discussions," Seravalli wrote.

The Buffalo Sabres haven't clinched a playoff berth since 2011-12. Their ongoing struggle to rise out of the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings

The Sabres are reportedly entertaining trade offers on former first-overall pick Owen Power before the March 7th deadline.

Thompson and JJ Peterka had hat tricks against the Bruins on Tuesday night — a good sign for Lindy Ruff's lineup tweaks.

The intrigue about Canucks centers J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson continues, while the Sabres' Dylan Cozens and Islanders' Brock Nelson remain in the rumor mill.
