Bruce Mendenhall was convicted Wednesday in the 2007 killing of Carma Purpura, an Indiana woman with whom he had been speaking at a truck stop.

A man known as the 'Truck Stop Serial Killer' in Tennessee was convicted of killing a third woman in Indiana on Wednesday, Jan. 22

Bruce Mendenhall, 73, already is serving two life terms in Tennessee for a pair of murders and still faces trial for an Alabama murder.

On Tuesday, 73-year-old serial killer Bruce Mendenhall will go on trial for the 2007 slaying of Carma Purpura, just one of as many as 10 women Mendenhall is suspected of killing.
