State Department of Health has notified the public of a potential exposure to measles at an Oklahoma City hospital.
Oklahoma is reporting one new confirmed measles case. The agency provided a notice for a public setting exposure site at Luigi’s Italian Restaurant & Lounge in Weatherford from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on March 19. As of Tuesday, Oklahoma has reported eight confirmed measles cases and two probable cases.
As the state continues to track cases of measles in Oklahoma, they’re mindful of exposure to the virus as well.
Two 18-year-old women from Texas died after a five-vehicle crash in Atoka County on Thursday morning. Three people were traveling northbound on US-69 in a Jeep Compass when they hydroplaned into the southbound lane, where they were struck by a Subaru Outback. A third vehicle traveling southbound then hit the Subaru.
The potential exposure occurred between 6:15 and 10 p.m. on March 23 at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health.
