Investigators on Friday halted their efforts to detain impeached South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, following an impasse that lasted more than five hours as Yoon’s presidential security service barred them from entering his residence to execute their warrant.

The impeached president faces an attempt by authorities to arrest him over his short-lived Dec. 3 martial law.

The court in Seoul has issued another arrest warrant for the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, who is accused of staging a coup. Previous attempts to detain him were unsuccessful.
