New Albany has never before had a homicide, Laura White, the records supervisor for New Albany Police, confirmed to The Dispatch.

Bruce Foster was charged with aggravated murder, and additional charges are expected. Two people are dead and four others were injured in the shooting.

One person was killed and five were injured in a workplace mass shooting at KDC/ONE in New Albany on Tuesday night. Around 150 people were present at the company at the time of the shooting.

Police have identified a suspected gunman. New Albany's police chief said authorities don't have a motive yet.

The suspect in the February 4, 2025, shooting at KDC/ONE has been taken into custody. Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in Columbus, where they apprehended Bruce Reginald Foster III.

The Franklin County Coroner's Office has identified the second victim as 30-year-old Shakhar Chapagai. The Licking County Coroner identified the first victim as 38-year-old Kyle Vaver of Pickerington.
