Sudiksha Konanki, a University of Pittsburgh student from Virginia, was last seen on a beach in Punta Cana in the early hours of Thursday.

The last known person to be in contact with a U.S. college student who was reported missing in the Dominican Republic last week was a St. Cloud State University student, authorities say.

Authorities identified a person of interest in the disappearance of college student Sudiksha Konanki who was reported missing nearly a week ago during a spring break trip to the Dominican Republic.
