This December, Amgen received a second state incentive to expand its Holly Springs operations by adding another drug substance facility. This plant, scheduled to open between 2028 and 2032, would create 370 jobs and cost around $1 billion to complete, according to Amgen’s state agreement. These roles aim to pay an average salary of $91,527.

Amgen executives and employees, local and state elected dignitaries, and an assortment of other local economic development officials and businesspeople gathered in a large white tent to toast the company’s recently completed $550 million facility that it had announced in 2021.
