The Big Ten and Southeastern Conference will push for changes in the way College Football Playoff teams are seeded next season to coincide more with how teams are ranked by the CFP selection committee.

Commissioners of the Southeastern and Big Ten conferences hinted that they know how they're going to vote if the issue arises of changing the seeding format for future College Football Playoff tournaments.

The Big Ten and SEC commissioners on Wednesday said they will push for something closer to “straight seeding” in the College Football Playoff next season.

According to Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger, the SEC and Big Ten are aiming to alter how teams in the CFP are seeded and how first-round byes are awarded.
