NCAA Wrestling Championships start today in Philadelphia. Penn State will have entrants in all 10 weight classes once the action begins inside of the Wells Fargo Center this afternoon. PHILADELPHIA – Greetings from the Wells Fargo Center, home of the real NCAA tournament this week. I’m here with Jim Carlson covering the three-day NCAA wrestling championships for PennLive. The tournament just kicked off in front of a raucous crowd.

In the first round, the Penn State wrestler used a first-period takedown to dispatch West Virginia’s Jordan Titus, 4-2. Bartlett then made the quarterfinals by collecting a second-period takedown of South Dakota State’s Julian Tagg en route to a 4-1 decision.
