The Mavericks will be working on a deal for Kyrie Irving as he has a player option worth nearly $44 million for next season.

According to NBA insider Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal, the Dallas Mavericks are expected to offer All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving a new three-year deal this summer.  Irving has a player option worth $43,

But sources told ESPN that Kyrie Irving is completing his rehab nicely, and could even return to the court as soon as January 2026, adding that there is "an expectation around the team that Irving will be able to play a good amount of the 2025-26 season upon his return“.
