Police in Pennsylvania are investigating after a fetus was found buried in a backyard — months after a teen took an abortion-inducing medication that was obtained over the internet after she was told she was unable to have the procedure performed,

The teen's friend told police about the pregnancy. The coroner said the baby was severely premature and could not have survived outside the womb.

Susquehanna Regional Police say they responded to a home with a search warrant and found the buried baby about five hours after talking with a witness. According to an affidavit, the witness told police the situation began in April 2024 when the suspect found out she was pregnant.
