Nets point guard Ben Simmons is a name to monitor as NBA teams shift their attention to the buyout market post-trade deadline.

With the NBA trade deadline passed, it’s now on to the buyout market. Ben Simmons could very well be on it. The Nets have been speaking with Simmons about a potential buyout, and the former All-Star is expected to have robust options to pick from if an agreement is reached and he becomes a free agent.

There were rumblings that veterans such as Cam Johnson, Nic Claxton and Day’Ron Sharpe could be on the move, but no deals were made, and all three remain in Brooklyn for now.
