Becker Furniture, a furniture retailer with seven stores in the Twin Cities metro and a distribution center in its namesake city, has been purchased by Furniture Mart USA, according to a press release.

South Dakota-based retailer Furniture Mart USA has completed the acquisition of Twin Cities chain Becker Furniture and its seven Minnesota locations. The acquisition was announced on Tuesday, ending more than 45 years of Huseby family ownership of Becker Furniture, with current owner Joel Huseby joining the Furniture Mart USA leadership team.

Becker Furniture has served Minnesota for more than 45 years and employs more than 100 people. Furniture Mart USA is expected to retain all of the employees including Becker owner Joel Huseby who has joined the Furniture Mart USA leadership team.
