As the Miami Heat continue to figure out the right rotations to turn the season around, especially after the team suffered a 98-86 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night, there was an eye-opening aspect that happened on the bench.
Rozier has been phased out of Miami's rotation recently, but a multitude of injures to the starting lineup have forced the team to thrust the veteran guard into the first unit. Across his last six games as a starter, Rozier has averaged 9.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.8 three-pointers in 27.2 minutes.
Rozier was traded to the Heat before the trade deadline last season where it was in exchange for Kyle Lowry and a first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets. At one point, Rozier was considered to be the piece for Miami that could take them over the hump alongside Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro.
