Aaron Rodgers has emerged as a quarterback option for the Steelers ahead of NFL free agency following the DK Metcalf trade.

Justin Fields has reached a two-year, $40 million deal that includes $30 million guaranteed with the New York Jets, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Orlovsky added that the Steelers never turned back to Fields, even after Wilson's hot start cooled off and the team struggled down the final stretch of the season. With the Steelers now expanding their quarterback search to include Wilson, Fields' best bet at starting will likely come elsewhere, Orlovsky suggested.

Metcalf should make Pittsburgh more appealing to the Steelers' next QB. He also gives the team significant leverage over George Pickens.
