A federal judge ruled on Thursday against the Trump administration's plans and extended Temporary Protected Status for 60,000 people from Central America and Asia, including people from Nepal, Honduras and Nicaragua.

A US federal judge blocked the Trump-era move to end deportation protections for citizens of Nepal, Nicaragua, and Honduras, citing racial bias and inadequate review of country condition.

In blocking the end of deportation protections for more than 60,000 migrants, the judge said the Trump administration’s language surrounding the program had strayed into racist conspiracy theories.
