The Detroit Pistons are currently out of a play-in spot in the East standings after cruising past the Hawks for a 114-104 win.

ATLANTA — The Detroit Pistons are in town to take on the Atlanta Hawks, unless another round of winter weather causes the NBA to postpone tonight’s game. However, before their scheduled matchup tonight, it appears the Pistons had time to take on another daunting feat with more options than they could imagine on the court.

As part of their road trip, the Pistons stopped naturally stopped at a Buc-ee's. Not your usual team outing, but surely an unforgettable one. The team's media relations department confirmed to 11Alive it was the Buc-ee's in Leeds -- the hometown of NBA legend and TNT broadcaster Charles Barkley.

Cade Cunningham had 29 points and 11 assists and the Detroit Pistons won for the seventh time it their last eight road games, 114-104 over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. Malik Beasley had 19 points off the bench and Ausar Thompson had 16 points for Detroit.

Despite an uncommon travel schedule, the Pistons improved to 2-0 on their recent five-game road trip with a win against the Hawks.
