Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan has won the coin toss and opted to bat first against India in their Group A game at the 2025 Champions Trophy.

In the chase, India lost Rohit Sharma in the fifth over but Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli survived the rest of the powerplay. While Gill got out for 46, Kohli was at his best and knocked off a breezy half-century. Kohli found an able partner in Shreyas Iyer, and their stand of 114 runs effectively killed off the game.

The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is going to be an electric few weeks of ODI cricket from the best international sides in the world, and we can't wait. We've already seen big performances from the likes of New Zealand and India, and there's much more to come.
