The Washington Commanders moved up practice on Friday due to the excessive heat. Temperatures in Ashburn, Va., and most of the East Coast were expected to be in the 90s. Washington’s defense got the memo, dominating the offense on Day 3 of training camp.

Day three brought the heat, figuratively and literally. A blistering hot morning pushed practice back an hour. The Commanders, however, still showed out.

First-round pick Josh Conerly Jr. is challenging Andrew Wylie for the starting right tackle spot. Experts believe it's a matter of 'when, not if.'

It was bound to happen. At some point, the Washington Commanders ’ defense was going to get the best of the offense in training camp. That came on Friday, Day 3. Quarterback Jayden Daniels didn’t have his best day, which is rare. Daniels was picked off multiple times. Even backup quarterback Marcus Mariota didn’t have his best day.

The former Super Bowl 50 MVP is no stranger to the spotlight. He's been one of the best pass rushers since entering the league. His 129.5 sacks are the most among players and 16th all-time.
