The driver of a Delray Beach fire truck that crashed with a Brightline train in December was given a traffic citation for failure to use due care following a recently completed Palm Beach County

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has released its final investigative report which notes that the driver of the fire engine, David Wyatt, was issued a noncriminal traffic citation.

The report concludes that, though the fire truck was responding to an emergency, the driver failed to use “due care.”
