According to The Austin American-Statesman’s Cedric Golden and Horns247’s Chip Brown, Xavier’s Sean Miller is expected to be hired as the program’s new head coach. The move comes just a few hours after Rodney Terry was reportedly informed he was being let go.

Texas has hired Sean Miller as its new men’s basketball coach, according to reports Sunday by both the Austin American-Statesman and 247 Sports. Miller, 56, has spent the last three seasons at Xavier. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Arizona, taking the Wildcats to the NCAA tournament Elite Eight three times.

The Texas Longhorns are in need of a new basketball coach after the school parted ways with Rodney Terry Sunday. He spent two-plus seasons leading Texas, finishing with a 62-37 overall record and an Elite Eight appearance in the 2023 NCAA tournament,
