Games of Thrones vet Sean Bean has officially signed on to join the Robin Hood cast for MGM+‘s upcoming series adaptation of the classic English tale. This marks Bean’s latest TV project, since starring in the final season of Snowpiercer last year.

Sean Bean has been cast as the Sheriff of Nottingham in an upcoming Robin Hood TV series for MGM+. According to reports, the Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings star will play the famous antagonist previously played on screen by the likes of Robert Shaw, Alan Rickman and Matthew Macfadyen in a new modern take on the classic tale.
