A meeting is under way in Malaysia between the premiers of Thailand and Cambodia to discuss a potential ceasefire following days of deadly border clashes between the two South-East Asian nations, local state media reported on Monday.

The Southeast Asian neighbors waging their deadliest conflict in more than a decade accuse each other of starting the fighting last week.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said both sides have reached a common understanding to take steps to return to normalcy.
