The NEXT Weather Team has issued a NEXT Weather Alert through Tuesday due to the potential for flooding in South Florida.

Meteorologist Geoff Fox reports a wet Tuesday morning as heavy rains continue over the Midwest, with Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota experiencing significant downpours due to a persistent low pressure system.

Miami-Dade and Broward counties are under a flood watch through Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Around two to four inches of rain, with some areas seeing up to eight inches, can be expected, similar to Monday’s conditions, according to the weather service. Areas that were hit hard on Monday could get more flooding.
