A new bill in the North Carolina Senate would require consequences for students who don't follow the rules — the latest attempt nationally to crack down on cellphone use in schools.

Missouri lawmakers are hoping to reduce cell-phone usage in schools with bipartisan legislation that would require school districts make a policy restricting mobile devices during instructional time.

This legislative session lawmakers mean business when it comes to banning cell phones for K-12 students in classrooms. On February 4th lawmakers introduced bills in the house and senate that will make this a state law.
