The Flyers have signed Noah Cates to a 4-year contract extension after the center posted a career-high 13 goals in 2024-25.

Flyers general manager Danny Briere announced the extension. Cates will count $4 million annually against the salary cap.

It’s been some time since the Flyers believed they were in position to justify writing a check for a high-priced free agent.
