Before he was a Boston Red Sox legend, Manny Ramirez was a New York Yankees fan. Talking to The Bronx Zoo YouTube channel at a signing earlier this week, the 2004 World Series MVP opened up about his old feelings for his childhood team. “I’m always a Yankee fan,” Ramirez said when asked if he was a fan of New York.

In 2003, he kicked off an epic brawl against the Yankees when right-hander Roger Clemens threw up and in at him. This is the benches-clearing brawl that resulted in Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez throwing the Yankees bench coach to the ground.
