Marc Stein and Jake Fischer reported that the Philadelphia 76ers traded KJ Martin to the Detroit Pistons for one important reason.

After swapping out Caleb Martin for Quinten Grimes and a second-rounder, the 76ers have traded KJ Martin to the Pistons.

Martin won’t eat into their cap space. That could set the stage for Trajan Langdon and the Pistons to make another trade ahead of Thursday’s deadline.
