Drake's label, Universal Music Group, is blasting the rapper as a bitter loser who wants his rap battles one-sided. In a new motion to dismiss Drake's defamation lawsuit against his own label, UMG says the Canadian-born rapper levied his own "vitriolic and incendiary" diss tracks against nemesis Kendrick Lamar before Lamar released his "hyperbolic" reply "Not Like Us" on the men's shared label.

The label goes on to refute allegations that “Not Like Us” issued a “call to violence,” as Drake’s security guard was shot outside the rapper’s home days after the song’s release. UMG claims that “Drake attempts to contort violent metaphors in the lyrics into incitement.”

Universal Music Group asked a court to toss Drake's lawsuit against the company amid his ongoing beef with labelmate Kendrick Lamar.
