SAN FRANCISCO — Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole have challenged each other since the Golden State Warriors drafted Poole 28th overall in 2019. They’d see who could make more shots in a row in practice and go at it in scrimmages, friendly competition that helped bring the best in each other.

Stephen Curry scored 26 points before leaving the game with an ankle injury in the final minute as the Golden State Warriors beat the Washington Wizards 122-114 Saturday night. Curry got tangled with Washington's Jordan Poole under the basket and was down on the court for a few seconds before heading to the Warriors' bench.

Stephen Curry injured his left ankle in the final minutes of the Golden State Warriors victory over Washington on Saturday night and is considered day to day. Curry left the game with just over a minute to play after getting tangled with the Wizards’ Jordan Poole.
