NHL minor league Utica Comets GM Dan MacKinnon on Thursday traded his own son, defenseman Will MacKinnon, to the Cleveland Monsters. What’s worse is that the Comets didn’t even get anything in return for MacKinnon.

On March 14, The Utica Comets, an American Hockey League team in New York affiliated with the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, announced that they were trading defenseman Will MacKinnon to the Cleveland Monsters in exchange for future considerations.
