Intense fighting between Thailand and Cambodia in the last five days has claimed dozens of lives, wounded many more, and displaced tens of thousands of people.

Thai and Cambodian leaders are meeting in Malaysia in an urgent effort to resolve deadly border clashes that entered a fifth day despite mounting international calls for peace.

At least 35 people have been killed since the combat began on Thursday, and hundreds of thousands of civilians have fled the border areas where it is taking place.
